Wedding planning is meant to be fun and exciting. Looking up dresses, colour schems etc is wonderful but when you realise your wedding is not going to look like your Pinterest board, the shit may hit the fan!
Here is my list of websites that I found useful for looking up everything from cake toppers to earrings!
1- Pinterest
This is amazing. It does provide great ideas for absolutely everything. I remember going through this for winter wedding ideas. I have since used zero of the ideas but it is fun to look at and will give you some wedding inspo. I have started using this for photo ideas. This was suggested to me by Kevin Murphy who will be our photographer. I have saved pics I like and will forward to him closer to the day so he will have an idea of some shots we would like.
2- Etsy- it took me a while to get into Etsy but now it’s one of my favourite market places. Besides wedding ideas I have purchased lovely gifts from here. It really does have everything you need and is a great shopping spot for wedding bits and bobs – Cake toppers, balloons, shoes, decorations, bridesmaids gifts.
3- WeddingOnline.ie- I signed up to this when I got engaged and get an email every few weeks. It’s handy for ideas for vendors and trends so worth a look to get you going
4 – Specific wedding gown sites
If you have a brand or designer in mind go to that site and have a browse. That exact dress may not be in the store you visit but it will give you an idea of what you like. This is how I originally found my dress. I checked where in Sydney stocked it and booked an appointment.
Has anyone else any sites they found useful? Would love to hear and share.
